Tower Outing – Saturday, 23rd June
Lindsay Hammond very kindly organised a splendid outing for us, we almost kept to the timetable below. Thank you very much to everyone who welcomed us to each tower we visited. We concentrated on handling the strange (to us!) bells so stuck to rounds and call changes.
Although one inch of rain fell in Pluckley that day, we got off relatively lightly and had a super day!
10.15am – leave Pluckley
11‒11.45am – St Mary the Virgin, Stone in Oxney
12 noon‒12.45pm – St Peter and St Paul, Appledore
1‒2.30pm – Lunch in The Black Lion, Appledore
2.45‒3.30pm – St Augustine, Brookland
3.45‒4.30pm – St Nicholas, New Romney
5.15pm – arrive back in Pluckley
